At Rite Shoe, every pair is handcrafted with care, and your satisfaction means everything to us. If your purchase doesn't feel just right, we're here to help. Please review our return policy below before initiating a return or exchange.
1. Returns
We accept returns within 7 days of the delivery date, provided the item meets the following conditions:
- The product is unworn, unused, and in its original condition.
- Original packaging, tags, and the shoe box are intact and undamaged.
- Proof of purchase (order number, receipt or invoice) is provided.
Items showing signs of wear, scuffs on the sole, or damage caused after delivery cannot be accepted.
2. Refunds
Once your returned item is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
- Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout.
- Cash on Delivery orders will be refunded via bank transfer.
- Original delivery charges are non-refundable, except where the return is due to our error.
3. Exchanges
We're happy to exchange your purchase for a different size, colour, or style of equal value within 7 days of delivery, subject to availability. To request an exchange, please contact our customer care team. If the desired item is unavailable, we'll offer a refund or store credit.
4. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return or exchange:
- Custom-made and made-to-order footwear (including bridal shoes).
- Items purchased on sale, clearance, or with a promotional discount.
- Gift cards and vouchers.
- Items returned without original packaging or proof of purchase.
- Shoe care products, insoles, and accessories once opened or used.
5. Damaged or Defective Items
If you receive a product that is damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photographs of the issue. We will arrange a free replacement, repair, or full refund — whichever you prefer.
6. Return Shipping
- For change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
- For damaged, defective, or incorrect items, Rite Shoe will cover the return shipping cost.
- You may also return your item in person at any of our showrooms in Pettah or One Galle Face.
- We recommend using a trackable shipping service; we cannot guarantee receipt of items returned without tracking.
7. Processing Time
Returns are typically inspected within 3 business days of receipt. Refunds and exchanges are processed within 7–10 business days thereafter. Depending on your bank or payment provider, additional time may be required for the refund to reflect in your account.
